Calling All CDCS and CHDOS in Northeastern Pennsylvania

As part of Enterprise’s ongoing commitment to develop and preserve affordable housing, we are accepting proposals from non-profit housing developers located in the Northeast looking to build their capacity to create opportunity for low- and moderate-income people through fit, affordable housing and diverse, thriving communities.   We will make approximately 10 grants ranging from $15,000 - $50,000 with the average grant size being $25,000.  Grant requests for $50,000 must make a compelling demonstration of need.

Grants can be used for:
• Staff Salaries – for existing staff members or new staff members;
• *Consultants – for housing activities, organizational development, or other approved efforts.  Architectural or engineering services, feasibility studies, and environmental reviews are often consultant costs.
• Staff or Board Training – topics could include housing development, financial management, economic development, asset management, board development, technology, or other such training, delivered through seminars/workshops or by a consultant
• Neighborhood Plans – to hire consultants to work with the grantee and the community to institute a neighborhood planning process for the production and preservation of affordable housing in the neighborhoods;
• Project Feasibility – to hire consultants to determine the feasibility of a project by conducting marketing analysis; feasibility or environmental studies
• Computer Software/Hardware – or other essential technical equipment; and
• Other professional services required for project planning

The proposal is due by 8pm EST on April 20, 2012.
