Pennsylvanians Left Out in the Cold

An investment in affordable homes is a win-win-win for the Commonwealth: it provides stable homes and communities for our most vulnerable citizens, creates good jobs and costs very little. Every dollar invested in making more affordable homes available turns into $1.62 - $2.28 in economic activity.  Despite this, PA housing programs have been cut again!

Earlier this week, Gov. Corbett imposed a freeze on state spending, or more specifically a cut of $160 million in the current year’s budget. While this represents 0.8% of the total budget, housing programs took hits of 5% and 10%. This is on top of severe cuts the programs saw from last year.
