About: Letter from the Executive Director

Hello and welcome to the Housing Alliance's new website!

We are pleased and excited to welcome you to the new site, which launched August 31, 2006. We hope you'll find the site easier and more pleasant to use. We've also added some exciting features that make the site much more interactive.

The new Issues Forum will host a blog and opinion polls. The Take Action section integrates our email Action Alerts into the website itself, while its new Petition and Letters to the Editor functions make it easy for you to speak out on issues you care about.

And throughout the site, News items, Resources and other content are categorized and linked by relevant Issues and Topics, (such as "Blight/Vacant Property" or "Homelessness,"), which makes it easier to find the content that fits your interests.

Equally important to our work, though less obvious to users of the site, is the new role the site will play in the Housing Alliance’s total communication strategy. We now have the capacity to generate our weekly e-newsletters, Action Alerts and other online communications directly from the website. This not only streamlines the process, but insures that all relevant content is automatically integrated into the website itself.

The new site was developed by the Philadelphia media and communications firm of iancomm, whose insight, talent and patience helped turn a dream into reality.

We also want to thank the very generous support of our funders, without whom none of this would have been possible.

We encourage you to explore the new site and all its features, and we welcome your comments and feedback. Please keep in mind that the website is a work in progress, and we are still transferring some content from the old site. Please send queries or concerns about the site to info@housingalliancepa.org., with the word "website" in the subject line.
